How to fix phone and internet? - home phone troubleshooting

Our Wi-Fi Internet ... bueno .. Internet in general and our house phone is broken. We use Comcast. We call them, but can not leave until next week, and my mother wants to work from home tomorrow because of snow, but if we do not resolve, they can not. Ideas about how to troubleshoot to see if it will work? I have no idea why that does not work. We went to bed one night when he does not work the next day.

  1. Comcast should be able to help diagnose the most questions by phone. I hope that the elimination of the most obvious), just like rebooting the cable modem and a router on your home PC with a cable modem via an Ethernet cable (eliminating a problem with the router. If all else fails, perhaps a neighbor who is so kind to your connection for him - not a permanent solution, of course:)

  2. Disconnect all cables and connect. Turn off the modem, router and telephone adapter. the return of his left hand for 3 minutes.
