Suggestions for a point-and-shoot camera? - fast shutter speed point and shoot

I'm looking for a simple point and shoot camera, nothing too high tech. I wish they had a good zoom, macro, and preferably a fast shutter speed. Are you looking to use easy to photograph, my cats (and other pets) with friends and family.

My old S & P) had a camera 10x zoom (optical, so I something equivalent to or better.
